Course Delivery – Covid-19

We are pleased to see the vaccination programme is working well and having a positive effect on protecting individuals. With this in mind we are running our full range of certificated and awareness level courses, whilst still looking after our clients, maintaining a high standard of hygiene. We continue to follow the recommendations of the Resuscitation Council UK in delivery of our courses.

 

Our Training Model

Our courses are all Face-to-Face as we believe this is the best way to learn. Whilst some training providers use online modules, we do not consider this to be the most effective way to learn first aid and practice; our courses allow you to ask questions and get the answers you need.

We employ a mixture of training methods, theory, discussion, practical demonstrations with delegates encouraged to take an active part in the training. Some of our courses also use visual aids; PowerPoint/video clips. We firmly believe this increases learner enjoyment and information retention.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

Community Public Accessible Defibrillators are now being registered on The Circuit database – the national defibrillator network. This is supported by The British Heart Foundation, in partnership with the Resuscitation Council (UK) and Association of Ambulance Chief Executives. Although each ambulance service has AEDs listed in their respective area The Circuit links these into a single database that is accessible by the ambulance service. Accessing the Defib Finder website https://www.defibfinder.uk allows the public to see registered AEDs and their location.

 

Employers Responsibilities

All employers should make an assessment of first aid needs appropriate to the circumstances (hazards and risks) of each workplace and the work undertaken.
