Emergency First Aid at Work
All UK employers have a legal requirement to carry out a risk assessment and provide adequate first aid cover for their workplace and employees. This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks.
What you will learn?
This course provides basic lifesaving first aid and meets workplace health and safety regulations. All our courses fully meet both the UK and European Resuscitation Councils latest guidelines as per HSE requirements.
Course Content
- Assess the situation
- Priorities of first aid
- Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Choking
- Cardiac chest pain
- Wounds and bleeding
- Shock
- Seizures
- Common workplace injuries
- Health and safety (first aid) regulations
- Introduction to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
Assessment
Continuous assessment by the trainer. Successful delegates will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate meeting HSE recommendations, valid for three years.
Course Duration
One day (Six and a half hours excluding breaks).
Cost
£75 per person
This includes a training manual and resuscitation shield.
Minimum of four delegates per course.
We will be pleased to discuss terms for six or more delegates on any individual course.
The price shown is for on-site training.
The course uses a mixture of training methods, including theory, PowerPoint visuals, practical demonstrations with delegates encouraged to take an active part in the training. We firmly believe this increases learner enjoyment and information retention.
It is highly recommended delegates should attend an annual half day refresher.
