Essential First Aid
This course provides both the background and practical emergency first aid skills which is ideal for those wishing to provide prompt and effective basic first aid.
What you will learn?
This course covers how to deal with emergency situations where vital treatment in those first few minutes can make all the difference to the outcome.
Course Content
- Role of the first aider
- Priorities of first aid
- Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Choking
- Recognition and treatment of chest pains
- Managing severe bleeding and shock
- Managing burns
- Managing seizures
- Introduction to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
Assessment
There is no assessment; this is an awareness course to give confidence to those faced with a serious and potentially life threatening condition. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all delegates.

Three hours.
Cost
£150 for the course.
Maximum of eight delegates per course. In the case of an extra one or two delegates an additional charge of £15 per person will be added.
